Jack Malick is the name that will be given to a local techie in my area that loves to raise mayhem just so he can get a cheap laugh. Jack has himself a Yaesu VX-5R, thing is...he doesn't have a ham operator's license so he shouldn't jump on a local repeater and start chatting it up with the others. Instead his expensive toy is currently being used to play very very annoying music to the Wal-Mart managers in the next town over. Yes, he discovered the frequency they operate on and has been messing with them every single time he is within a few blocks of that store. I have to admit I did get a laugh after he played Banana Phone by Raffi for them. Apparently that song is "excruciating" when piped directly into your ear courtesy of an ear bud.
I am waiting for the day he contacts me to tell me he has the frequency of the drive thru headsets for my old job at McDonald's. Now that will be one time I believe I will join Jack Malick in his mischievous fun.

Fable II Awarded the...Wait...What?
It has just come to my attention that Fable II, exclusive to the Xbox 360, was awarded the 'animal-friendly videogame' award by none other than PETA. I'll link you to the article here in a moment, thank you Twitter updates to my phone and PlayTM, but first I want to quote one little line I thought was hilarious from their update: "In other news: Peter Molyneux has chained himself to a railing outside Burger King in Guildford High Street..." ~Luke Guttridge
Just read the article, I got a good laugh out of it despite the shortness and I can see why PETA supports it. You should take a look for yourselves rather than relying on my word for it.

New Year, Same Focus
So this site never really took off like I had hoped but that is the way things work. New year has rolled around and nearly everything has stayed the same for me. Single? Check. Still working on computers? Check. Have a job at some crappy place? Negative.
Oh yes, that is the one thing that did change. Work places are pricks about this time of the year it seems and they get rid of their holiday staff as quickly as they can for the smallest reason possible. So currently unemployed and searching for a way to make some dough so I can keep on gaming and testing out cool computer stuff. Support me by clicking the ads if you wish or if you want to get your PSP unbricked/downgraded contact me. It is a free service I offer but donations of hardware or cash are welcome. You just pay shipping both ways.

Letter to Bungie
April 15th, 2008 3:59AM on a Tuesday morning. After several hours (read: six hours) of waiting, the time had come. The Halo 3 Legendary Map Pack was released, those like myself rejoiced. Starting at 37% I posted in the "official" release thread started in the Halo 3 forums. Every post I made in that thread after that always ended with my download being at an interval with 7 in the ones digit. 47%, 57%, 67%, 77%, 87%, 97%, and I made one last post with my Gamertag in it so my fellow brethren of Halo 3 could join in my celebrations. I tried to make it obvious I was paying homage to Bungie by only posting when my download percentage had a seven in it, those of you who are fans will understand.
Twenty minutes of watching the download bar and posting in the forums...I was ready. I added slamer780 to my friends list and invited him to private chat. Slamer780 was envious that my download was finished and it was then I made the decision to see how much I could irritate him by loading up Avalanche (his personal favorite) and describing to him in relatively vague detail of what it looked like. Slamer780 cursed my name, and the names of any of my future children. I, meanwhile, just laughed and continued. Next on the list was my most anticipated, Blackout.
I loaded up Blackout and slamer proceeded to curse my future children and myself once more as I vaguely described the level. He had his questions and I answered them. "Where are the weapon spawns?" to which I answered "The same as Halo 2's Lockout with some added ones, the equipment is new so that will make things interesting." "I saw the door deals in the vidoc.." and I simply responded "Mapmaker? Yea, they are here." and he continued "Do they fit in the level well?" and my response before I moved on to Ghost Town "Yes, they fit the level design perfectly."
Ghost Town was my final conquest before slamer780 ever had his download finished. Once again he cursed my name, but I think he forgot to curse my children. I did not spend long in this original map: slamer780 rejoiced because his download was finished. I jumped back into Avalanche and he joined my party. We proceeded to "dick around" with the giant man cannons until we decided to try to get six other people and go into DLC Slayer and get our four months of free Bungie Pro. Unfortunately we could only get seven and we were paired with a person with only the Heroic map pack. We were forced to play Standoff.
After that horrible incident (horrible to us anyway), we picked up an eighth member and proceeded to load up DLC Slayer once more. The first map chosen was Standoff again and we vetoed then Avalache was the next map chosen. Slamer was on my team and I wonder if he was having too much fun with the warthogs and man cannons to take the game seriously, what makes me think that is he only scored three kills for the entire game. Admittedly I have no room to talk...I was having too much fun driving a mongoose around and jumping it into man cannons so I was in the same boat as he was.
The last bit of my celebration took place in Forge as I explored each map bit by bit, a sense of respect is what I first noticed when examining the textures and lighting effects. I have seen those that say Bungie screwed themselves and us over when they made the maps the way they did. That no one is going to buy the map packs now because of the "problems" with the maps. I disagree, these maps and access to the screen effects is just what some of my friends and myself needed. I thank you Bungie for these new playgrounds you have bestowed upon your creation. I look forward to your future projects and I hope there will be many more in the near future. Thank you once again for listening to us, your fans. I will continue to be a member of the following, The 7th Column.

Internet Radio
I know this is not something that is really new...at all. I have always found internet radio to be interesting and I like the fact that nearly anyone is capable of at least running a small station. I used to run a station back before my senior year in high school. It was fun and only five or six of my friends listened to it. I have actually decided I may get back into that, once I do I will think about throwing up a link to my station so you can check the status, the broadcast won't be set on a definite schedule. I have far too much going on in my real life to be able to put aside a set time each day to broadcast. I wish I could do that though.
So this may definitely be the revival of Shadow Underground internet radio station.

Random
I carry on with the occasional posting on this blog because I choose to. I am doing my best to support myself while I attend college and work a relatively dead end job at a McDonald's. I want to play with computers more than I do and I wish to expand my current collection. I offer a free service of downgrading PSP's as stated in my earlier post. I need to figure out a way to make some money on the side so I offer tech support as well. Along with that I put up the Google Adsense in the top right corner along with the Google search. I want to ask those who visit this site to occasionally do a search or click one of the ads to help me out a bit. If there are any readers yet that is :P I'm not exactly that well known.

PSP Downgrade/Unbricking Service
I now officially run a PSP downgrade/unbricking service. So far I have downgraded: my brother's, mine, a guy from Springfield, and a few other of my local friends. I charge nothing for this service and instead I do a donation based approach, you can donate money or unwanted hardware to me for the service. If you want more information about where to get your PSP downgraded or unbricked, you should check out this thread in the Noobz forums to find someone close to you.

Fun at Work
So tonight at McDonald's (yea, yea. I know already) I decided to mess with a coworker. He was listening to a local station, 105.3 FM, and I grabbed my PSP then set it to loop Venga Boys - Boom Boom Boom. With that all set up, I popped in my slightly modified FM Modulator and set it to 105.3 then with the gator clip that I use to extend the antenna...I walked right by the radio and it switched over to my techno. Needless to say this pissed off my coworker to no end.
I toyed with him the entire time we were closing the store with my PSP nestled nicely in my pocket. Everyone in the store knew what was going on but him and he beat the crap out of the radio by the night's end. I had my manager doubled over in hysterical laughter for about five minutes straight.
I did tell him before we left what I did and he was pissed off for awhile but he got over it and said it felt good to release some anger on a poor innocent electronic. I laughed at him for part of the way home as I followed him since we live about eight blocks apart. This is one joke I will keep in my book of tricks for the future. :P

Halo 3
Well then, I know it has been a bit late for me to post something up but I doubt there are any readers of this blog as of yet. Disregarding that, Halo 3 turned out to be an interesting game alright. Finished up the story, had an ending that was split into three parts: one for completing on Easy, an extra scene was added if you finished it on Normal or above, and finally there was yet another scene added for beating it on Legendary.
I wont spoil the ending for those of you who haven't played...I'll leave that to the people on Youtube. Seriously though, there are several videos that show you the ending. But if you don't want to watch those...go watch the ending to Portal from The Orange Box...I'll wait right here for you to be able to breathe again :P Jonathan Coultan at his best if you ask me.
The game is everything that you'd expect it to be. Pretty and fast paced but with a hint of awesomeness in the fact it automatically saves videos of recent games played. Now you can really talk crap on that guy you stuck from across the map since you can go back and watch it in, yup you guessed it, slo-mo.
The Forge added a much needed multiplayer element to the game, the ability to customize maps is just what this game needs to be playable for the thousandth time on Xbox Live. Hell, thanks to a buddy of mine (just met him so really don't know him too well) Pink Shade, I have two really fucking cool maps that I downloaded from him.
Xbox Live gold membership also comes with the File Share ability on Halo 3. This allows you to put up to eight files ranging from maps, videos, game varients, and saved pictures. You can extend this to I think twenty if you go get the Bungie Pro membership. I really haven't looked into that much. The cool thing about this is you can go on Bungie.net and find files you want to download then set them to download the next time you log onto Live while in Halo 3. This is how I have all of the Canvas maps, they are a copy of all the maps but with everything completely removed from them so it is like starting Forge with a clean slate.
Well, that about covers everything without going too far into detail about the story. Halo 3 is definitely a fun game and I give it my recommendation so go out and play it. Game on, gamers.

Bioshock
Fucking awesome. Enough said.
......Damnit, not going to be that easy? Fine, fine. The game has really taken things to a new level as all games seem to strive for. I will not ruin the storyline, which can be easy to miss if you don't collect audio diaries, but I can say the physics engine did it's job all too well. The fact they hired a team of programmers just to work on the physics for the water is a bit odd...but for a good reason, water is a major element in the game. The water has to give you a sense that it is trying to close in on Rapture to reclaim it as part of the ocean. Definitely go check this one out.
Game on.
