New job = more money

So I work for Tyson Foods now. Good pay, but still not any where close to my ideal job. Finally can afford to pick up some games on my backlog at least.

Finally finished this game. Took this long since I don't own my own copy and had to borrow one.

Have to say, some weapons are crazy expensive to repair.

Minecraft Rant - Fuck Off Creeper

So it passes that my testbed hardcore world is deleted, not by an epic battle or a stupid mistake I can laugh at. No, by a fucking Creeper blowing up next to me while cave exploring. There goes a few hours of perfecting an enclosed base design complete with lava mob drop grinder.

Nothing I can do now but rebuild my awesome base on my other hardcore world. This time, I plan to gear up before venturing out of my safe little base. Lessons learned.

Dawnguard Impressions

So after waiting an extra week due to plans getting disrupted, Dawnguard is loaded up on my console. Fucking love the shit out of the Vampire Lord power. The fact they give us poison claws and a Force Grip-esque power is really just icing on the cake.

Next Week Is Going To Rock

Now, since Dawnguard has been released I've been fucking amped up. Unfortunately the timing of the release happens to be right when I am tapped out for cash. Curse you bills to the layer of hell reserved for people who talk in theaters.

Good news out of all this, Tuesday is payday. I have errands to run that day anyway, so I can grab a point card with some cash while I'm out or even drop in on a local Game Stop for a DLC card if I feel like visiting with the employees for awhile.

I'm ready for a new adventure in Skyrim, and it starts next week.

C&C - The Game I Love But Suck At

Picked up Command and Conquer: The First Decade a few days ago. Installed, punching in all seven CD keys, and loaded up Generals. Very quickly against three hard level CPUs, I had my ass handed to me.

Time to practice a bit.

Dwarf Fortress

Fuck you, little bastards. So frustrating but so much fun to play. Still learning the game and I'm determined to get better at it.

I will conquer this game, mark my words.

Minecraft Xbox 360 Update

The first update for Minecraft on the 360 rolled out yesterday. This isn't the promised patch that would get the version up to date with 1.7.3 unfortunately. Instead it is a bug fix patch, which is nice considering there were some pretty bad ones that had me waiting to play again until they were fixed.

Dawnguard Waiting

So no beta key for me. Bummer, just have to wait for the official release.

In other news, my vampire character is shaping up nicely. Just need to get him a better set of armor.

Dawnguard Beta

Damnit, saw the Joystiq post and had that moment of hope that I would see a message waiting for me informing that I was accepted into the beta. Apparently only .05% of the applicants were accepted and there is another round of invites going out tomorrow.

Here's to hopefully seeing that golden message sitting there tomorrow.
