So tonight at McDonald's (yea, yea. I know already) I decided to mess with a coworker. He was listening to a local station, 105.3 FM, and I grabbed my PSP then set it to loop Venga Boys - Boom Boom Boom. With that all set up, I popped in my slightly modified FM Modulator and set it to 105.3 then with the gator clip that I use to extend the antenna...I walked right by the radio and it switched over to my techno. Needless to say this pissed off my coworker to no end.
I toyed with him the entire time we were closing the store with my PSP nestled nicely in my pocket. Everyone in the store knew what was going on but him and he beat the crap out of the radio by the night's end. I had my manager doubled over in hysterical laughter for about five minutes straight.
I did tell him before we left what I did and he was pissed off for awhile but he got over it and said it felt good to release some anger on a poor innocent electronic. I laughed at him for part of the way home as I followed him since we live about eight blocks apart. This is one joke I will keep in my book of tricks for the future. :P

Halo 3
Well then, I know it has been a bit late for me to post something up but I doubt there are any readers of this blog as of yet. Disregarding that, Halo 3 turned out to be an interesting game alright. Finished up the story, had an ending that was split into three parts: one for completing on Easy, an extra scene was added if you finished it on Normal or above, and finally there was yet another scene added for beating it on Legendary.
I wont spoil the ending for those of you who haven't played...I'll leave that to the people on Youtube. Seriously though, there are several videos that show you the ending. But if you don't want to watch those...go watch the ending to Portal from The Orange Box...I'll wait right here for you to be able to breathe again :P Jonathan Coultan at his best if you ask me.
The game is everything that you'd expect it to be. Pretty and fast paced but with a hint of awesomeness in the fact it automatically saves videos of recent games played. Now you can really talk crap on that guy you stuck from across the map since you can go back and watch it in, yup you guessed it, slo-mo.
The Forge added a much needed multiplayer element to the game, the ability to customize maps is just what this game needs to be playable for the thousandth time on Xbox Live. Hell, thanks to a buddy of mine (just met him so really don't know him too well) Pink Shade, I have two really fucking cool maps that I downloaded from him.
Xbox Live gold membership also comes with the File Share ability on Halo 3. This allows you to put up to eight files ranging from maps, videos, game varients, and saved pictures. You can extend this to I think twenty if you go get the Bungie Pro membership. I really haven't looked into that much. The cool thing about this is you can go on Bungie.net and find files you want to download then set them to download the next time you log onto Live while in Halo 3. This is how I have all of the Canvas maps, they are a copy of all the maps but with everything completely removed from them so it is like starting Forge with a clean slate.
Well, that about covers everything without going too far into detail about the story. Halo 3 is definitely a fun game and I give it my recommendation so go out and play it. Game on, gamers.

Fucking awesome. Enough said.
......Damnit, not going to be that easy? Fine, fine. The game has really taken things to a new level as all games seem to strive for. I will not ruin the storyline, which can be easy to miss if you don't collect audio diaries, but I can say the physics engine did it's job all too well. The fact they hired a team of programmers just to work on the physics for the water is a bit odd...but for a good reason, water is a major element in the game. The water has to give you a sense that it is trying to close in on Rapture to reclaim it as part of the ocean. Definitely go check this one out.

PSP Downgraded
Today marks the first time that I have downgraded someone else's PSP, the process went smoothly enough for me being about half asleep through most of it. :P It worked out nicely though. I am certain that Kevin will enjoy his newly downgraded PSP quite well, and to anyone who actually reads this blog: I will downgrade any PSP free of charge but you must cover shipping and you can not hold me liable for any damage done to the PSP system. PSP
Amazing little thing if you ask me. I look around on the net and keep finding stories and posts of people finding all kinds of useful things to do with their PSP system. When I first received mine, I was an idiot and I updated mine so I could have the browser. But thanks to my impulsive decision to buy Lumines when it first came out quite awhile back...I was able to downgrade my PSP.
I have tried many of the custom firmwares because I missed having a browser, and I do not own Wipeout Pure so I couldn't use the hidden browser in the game. But now I have settled on M33's firmware. I used Dark_Alex's firmware and was satisfied but since he has left the homebrew scene, I am moving on to someone who is still actively developing.
With my PSP currently getting ready to update to M33's 3.52 firmware, I wonder what I am going to do now with it? GPS navigation is one of my top priorities when it comes down to it really. Also I would love to be able to use a programmable universal remote program on it. I do love IR Shell 3.1 and I am testing out another universal remote program.
We will see what the future holds. Till then, Game on.

Ah yes...everyone's delima is they have no money. This is my case as well, so for now I am exploring all sorts of avenues of earning some dough in order to fund a trip to Texas. Currently I have at least one source of income, my job at McDonald's....ugh.

Harddrive Woes
As the title says, this post is about harddrives. Particularly just one harddrive. The one that held my operating system for my desktop pc has completely been fried. Joy. This means that the little bit of posting I have done will more than likely come to a dead stop again due to "technical difficulties."
Well if this doesn't pan out like I wanted, if Shadow Underground never gets off the ground to make a company or something like that. This blog was a good idea none the less, and fun while it lasted.

Halo 3 Beta Leak
Ok, it seems someone has played the beta and released a video of it on Youtube. Anyone surprised? No? Yea, I wasn't either. I was actually waiting for something like this to happen. But since I currently am at school, it is difficult to watch videos since my bypass the filter deal isn't working at the moment. Damn crappy computer at home probably shut off again. Ah well, my recommendations to all Halo franchise fans....go to Youtube, and quick. I have noticed alot of the videos I used to watch have been disappearing because of copy wright issues. When I get the chance later tonight, I will do a search myself and post up the more interesting videos just as a quick reference.
Not much else to throw up here, other than the game F.E.A.R. for the Xbox360 is really damn cool. I can't wait until I can get Xbox Live back to try out the multiplayer. Another good game for the Xbox360 is Guitar Hero 2. Love the fact I have a second guitar controller for those head to head matches.

RIAA
Now, we all know about the RIAA. If you ask me, they are just a pack of extortionists who have nothing better to do than ruin the lives of people by placing large settlements on people so they won't have to go to court....or they go to court and get even bigger settlements placed on them.
This is the plight of a MIT student named Cassi Hunt. I know her story may be old news, but I consider it pertinent to now. I will post excerpts from an article here:
Cassi Hunt has recently been accused by the RIAA of being guilty of file-sharing. We all know what happens now: the RIAA will extort her for thousands of dollars (in Cassi's case, $3750) as a "settlement" to prevent her having to go to court. Or, as Cassie puts it in her highly entertaining and witty account: " Let us screw you over gently now, or with chains and whips in court."
Now, Cassi's remark is quite hilarious....and here is the RIAA's response:
But get this. When Cassi mentions she can't afford $3750, being an MIT student already up to her eyeballs in a lifetime's worth of debt, the RIAA helpfully countered: So? Drop out of school so you can afford it.
So the RIAA has shown it's true colors finally. Personally...I say the whole lot of them can go fuck themselves. They can't stop all of us, and they never will.

Apple TV Alternative
OK, last post was about the Apple TV. Now for those of you who know me, I love to visit Hackaday. In fact it is listed in my links over on the right of the page. Well they had this electronics hack that caught my attention. I love the idea and I may consider doing it seeing as I pirate some movies here and there.
The basic idea behind the hack is to take an old Divx player and attach it to a wifi router, preferably running dd-wrt, and hook it into your network so you can host up media files from it. Another added benefit to this setup is that you are able to update the Divx player without having to hook it into a PC.
